41 year old, happily married and waiting for our baby to join the party.
“UnOeufisEnough” is a mix of English and French (1 egg = un oeuf) because these are the 2 languages I express myself with.
It is about the initial excitement of believing that, un oeuf, would be enough to create our family. But after 3 IVF’s, 2 chemical pregnancies, 5 miscarriages and 2 vanishing twins, using the eggs of an eggdonor and unfortunately miscarrying again at 12 weeks, after waiting to wait, we are finally on a waiting list to adopt a baby from Ethiopia.
You got it, simply as you hear it: “EnoughIsEnough” !
P.S. The flock of ceramic birds displayed are made by an Artist I unfortunately do not know the name of.
I’m so delighted to have found your blog, dear friend. I’m one of all the FC sisters that are waiting hopefully and impatiently(!) with you for your little miracle.
Thanks Maryna, very sweet of you ! Will be updating as soon as we got news, but patience is in order at this stage … !!
What a long journey you’ve had. Hugs to you after such a tough time. I hope your Et adoption helps you as much as mine has helped me. 🙂
Thanks for the well-wishes. I hope so too.
Your kids are both beautiful, inside-out and hats off to their mum for “cultivating” all that beauty !
Love to read your blog, although I do not comment often. …
Wow- very clever name for your blog. I like it a lot!!
Hello! Not sure if I am commenting in the right spot or not. I didn’t see a comment button below your posts. Thanks for commenting on my blog post about taking our son Mekonen to the movies. 🙂 It’s always fun to know people are reading! I would love to chat more with you about your journey to your child. I read your post from June 30th about your “fears” of international adoption. I didn’t see a place to comment where you asked for parental input (or maybe I just missed it). Anyway. Just wanted to encourage you. International adoption is not as scary as some make it out to be- even the medical profession. I’m not sure who actually wrote that stuff you were referring to, but I guarantee the International Adoption doctor we saw at our children’s hospital here in Indianapolis would disagree with the huge leaps some of those statements take. Not enough space here to go into it. Maybe over email? I look forward to reading more of your blog! I’m glad you commented so I could find you! My email is RachaelOren@gmail.com and I’m on facebook if you want to chat! 🙂
EnoughIsEnough- it certainly is, you have been through way too much! I’m so sorry. I truly hope you don’t have to wait much longer for your little one! They bring so much joy… it sounds like you are getting close to a referral and I am excited for you! 🙂
Thank you for commenting on a few of my blog posts, btw. If it’s okay, I am going to add your blog to my blog list (please let me know if you’d rather me not).
~Jessica
